Our Goals

MARESA strives to improve the health and well-being of school age children across the Central Upper Peninsula through a variety of health education programs including: nutrition & physical activity, social emotional, and substance abuse prevention. 

Friends at School

Substance Abuse Prevention

MARESA offers a variety of prevention programs including Botvin LifeSkills, Prime for Life, and Guiding Good Choices. 

Nutrition & Physical Activity

PE-Nut is a nutrition and physical education program that uses a whole-school approach to motivate students, parents and educators to be physically active and eat healthier.

Social Emotional Learning

MARESA aims to increase and improve access to high-quality behavioral health care and social-emotional interventions for our local districts.
